Story

Raffa Reuther is a nonbinary dyke who makes handmade textiles and clothing focused on shape, identity, construction, and play. Their self-titled brand features oversize work coats, overalls, button downs, wrap sets, and playsuits, among other staples. All wearables are made by hand in Detroit.

Raffa is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Washington D.C., now based in Detroit, MI. They received their Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Raffa works across many disciplines including fashion, fiber, installation, analog photography, performance, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, self publishing, sound, and social practice.

Raffa has exhibited work in Chicago at Happy Gallery, Compound Yellow, Dfbrl8r Gallery, Lilstreet Loft, Gallery 400, Co-Prosperity Sphere, Sullivan Galleries, and Woman Made Gallery.
