Raffa founded The Moten Ranch Residency in 2016 to commemorate the legacy of artist and teacher Sue Hoffer, a Texan woman who died of cancer. Raffa has invited other artists, makers, and ranchers to participate in the making of the Sue Hoffer Memorial Sculpture Garden at the Moten Ranch as both an act of homage, and a way to create an intimate bond between the past and the future. This sculpture garden will continue to evolve both due to it's location in nature and to actively remember and honor the legacy of Sue Hoffer.
